Northside United Methodist Church

In 1950, a small group of just 23 members and 20 children dared to dream. They dreamt of a vibrant faith community. They dreamt of Northside United Methodist Church. Meeting in the nearby Northside High School, these early members laid the foundation for what would become a cornerstone of faith in Atlanta. Just two years later, their dedication bore fruit with the construction of the first Northside building in 1952, now known as the Chapel. Imagine the excitement as this fledgling congregation finally had a place to call their own. The Northside United Methodist Church continued to flourish. As the congregation grew, so too did their ambitions. In 1957, the Sanctuary was built, a testament to their growing numbers and deepening faith. Today, Northside United Methodist Church stands at 2799 Northside Drive Northwest, a beacon of hope and community. It’s across from North Atlanta High School, nestled between Northside Drive and Kingswood Drive. From humble beginnings in a high school, the church has blossomed into a multifaceted ministry. Northside United Methodist Church offers a variety of services to meet diverse spiritual needs. Traditional worship services are held at 8:30 am and 11:00 am on Sundays, providing a space for reflection and reverence. For those seeking a more contemporary experience, the 9:50 am Sunday service blends modern music and dynamic preaching.
