In the heart of Carlsbad, North Coast Calvary Chapel isn’t just a building. It’s a story. A story of growth, transformation, and community. North Coast Calvary Chapel began humbly in 1976 as a home Bible study in Encinitas. The congregation thrived, quickly outgrowing its initial space. They moved to a YMCA, then spent ten years in the Vulcan Center, the building now known as Encinitas City Hall. A short time at San Dieguito Academy followed. Finally, in the early 1990s, North Coast Calvary Chapel found a home at the edge of a shopping center in Carlsbad. Even then, the church continued to expand. The parking lot, once simply a place for cars, transformed into a bustling hub of ministry activity, shaded by blue tents. This growth ultimately led to a move to a new “Tuscany village location” nearby. The church aimed to create a lasting space for its expanding ministries. Before this transition, North Coast Calvary Chapel held a special event. They invited members to share their personal stories of faith and transformation. It was a celebration of God’s work within the church community. North Coast Calvary Chapel isn’t just about Sunday services. It’s about fostering a deep connection with God and nurturing relationships within the community.
