Established in 2010, the Norddeutschen Akademie für Finanzen und Steuerrecht Hamburg, often called the NoA, isn’t just any building. It represents the fusion of Hamburg’s Hochschule für Finanzen and Landesfinanzschule, bringing together a rich history of financial education. The curriculum adheres to the Steuerbeamten-Ausbildungsgesetz (StBAG) and the Steuerbeamtenausbildungs- und Prüfungsordnung (StBAPO), providing a structured and rigorous education. Interestingly, the NoA utilizes a blend of in-house faculty and guest lecturers. Forty-five full-time instructors form the core teaching staff, supported by numerous adjunct professors. Many of these adjuncts are active tax officials, bringing real-world experience into the classroom. External experts also contribute their specialized knowledge.
