Construction began in mid-2021. A 30-foot tall statue of the Santo Niño was transported from Manila. Typhoon Rai delayed its installation. The statue finally found its place in February 2022. The chapel’s facade gracefully mimics the waves. It reflects the fluid motion of the Sinulog dance. This design choice beautifully connects the chapel to Cebuano culture.
The chapel covers 300 square meters. It can hold up to 150 worshippers. The surrounding Senior Citizens’ Park offers 3704 square meters of peaceful landscape.
