But the Nintendo Museum is not just about looking. The first floor offers interactive experiences. There are Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, and NES kiosks. Visitors can play classic games. Giant controllers allow you to team up with a partner. Together you can play games like Super Mario World.
Nintendo began as a maker of hanafuda cards. You can experience this history firsthand. Participate in a workshop and craft your own hanafuda cards. You can also learn how to play games with these cards.
The Nintendo Museum also features a cafe called Hatena Burger. Here, you can enjoy custom-ordered hamburgers. The museum shop, Bonus Stage, offers exclusive merchandise. You can find items themed after Nintendo’s game worlds and characters.
Tickets to the Nintendo Museum are reserved in advance. Due to high demand, a lottery system is in place.
