Nhà Thờ Thánh Gia

In 1998, a new chapter began for Nhà thờ Thánh Gia. The church, formed from three chapels, welcomed its first priest, Father Giuse Vũ Hữu Hiền. Nhà thờ Thánh Gia, meaning “Holy Family Church”, held a special place in the hearts of its parishioners. It wasn’t just a building. It was a testament to their faith and community. Five years later, Father Hiền departed for Giáo xứ Nghĩa Hòa. His successor, Father Giuse Nguyễn Duy Diễm, arrived in November 2003. He continued the work on the church, nurturing its growth and ensuring its continued presence in the community. Nhà thờ Thánh Gia boasts three “Nhà Chúa” or “Houses of God”. The main sanctuary, dedicated in 1999, stands as a testament to the dedication of Bishop Nicolas Huỳnh văn Nghi and Bishop Gioan Baotixita Phạm Minh Mận. Its design reflects the collaborative efforts of the church leaders and the local community. The second sanctuary, dedicated to Đức Mẹ Vô Nhiễm, showcases a modern design, thanks to Bishop Giuse Vũ Duy Thống. The church hall, adjacent to this sanctuary, underwent a complete renovation in 2009. It provides a space for community gatherings and events, further strengthening the bonds within the parish. The third sanctuary, dedicated to Đức Mẹ Mân Côi, carries a rich history. Its renovations and embellishments over the past 40 years reflect the ongoing commitment of the priests and parishioners. Nhà thờ Thánh Gia, despite its relatively young age of 12 years at the time of Father Diễm’s arrival, serves a diverse community of 2,445 parishioners. They hail from various backgrounds and regions, creating a vibrant tapestry of traditions and perspectives. This blend of cultures creates a unique atmosphere. It is a testament to the unifying power of faith, where people from all walks of life come together in worship and fellowship. The church continues to evolve and grow, driven by the shared faith and dedication of its community. It serves as a beacon of hope and a testament to the enduring spirit of Nhà thờ Thánh Gia.
