The story of Nh\u00e0 th\u1edd Ph\u00fa Xu\u00e2n began in 1932. At that time the area hosted several oil companies. A small group of Catholics gathered in a home. They wanted a priest to celebrate Mass. This humble beginning marked the start of a long journey for the parish.

Through war and changing times the congregation moved four times. Finally in 1958 they found a suitable location for Nh\u00e0 th\u1edd Ph\u00fa Xu\u00e2n. Father Phaol\u00f4 V\u0103n B\u1ed9 began construction on a wooden church.

In 1960 the church was completed. It featured wooden columns brick walls and a cement roof. A square bell tower rose 10 meters high. Atop the tower stood a statue of Our Lady of the Assumption. This was a great blessing for the Phu Xuan community. After many difficulties they finally had a place to worship God. Over 1000 people attended the dedication Mass.

In 1998 Father \u0110aminh Ng\u00f4 Quang Tuy\u00ean became the parish priest of Phu Xuan. A few years later he rebuilt the church in its current form. Despite being in a suburban area Nh\u00e0 th\u1edd Ph\u00fa Xu\u00e2n is easy to find.

From District 7 cross the Phu Xuan Bridge. Follow Hu\u1ef3nh T\u1ea5n Ph\u00e1t Street into Nh\u00e0 B\u00e8 district. You will arrive in Phu Xuan commune. The green church has curved lines resembling a communal house roof. It features a five-roof bell tower. Statues of Our Lady stand prominently on two roofs sheltering the congregation.

Father \u0110aminh Ng\u00f4 Quang Tuy\u00ean explained the church’s design. He said the five-roof bell tower represents five loaves of bread. The two-roof sanctuary symbolizes two fish from the Bible. It means that anyone who comes to this church will have their souls nourished by God. He used the church’s image to teach Bible stories to children.

Today Phu Xuan is rapidly urbanizing. Many residents have switched from farming to business and factory work. The church adapts its mission to these changes. It helps people improve their lives. It also enriches their spiritual lives.

Nh\u00e0 th\u1edd Ph\u00fa Xu\u00e2n has grown from a small rural community. It now has over 2000 members in five districts. About 500 children attend. The parish invests in the youth creating a strong foundation for their future. They built classrooms with modern equipment. Father \u0110aminh introduced multimedia teaching methods. This made religious education lively and engaging.

The church also organizes summer programs for children. These programs combine fun activities with religious learning. There are game booths and food stalls. Children earn points for attending Mass and redeem them for prizes. Summer camps teach skills like setting up tents and cooking.
