Whispers of faith echo through time. Welcome to Nha Tho Moi Khoi. This unassuming church holds a rich history. It stands as a testament to resilience faith and community.
In 1966 several Catholic families sought refuge near Cau Tan Thuan Dong. They found solace in Xa Phu My Trieu. Father Gioan Baotixita Duong Hong Thanh purchased land. He established a small prayer house. This became the humble beginning of Nha Tho Moi Khoi.
The year 1967 marked a turning point. Father Anton Vu Doan Cat became the first resident priest. He expanded the prayer house. A three-section church was constructed. It grew to be the Nha Tho Moi Khoi we see today.
Father Cat’s dedication was immense. He oversaw the church’s growth. He nurtured its spiritual life. His efforts laid a strong foundation for the community’s faith.
In 1983 Bishop Tong Giam Muc transferred Father Cat. Father Do Minh Do took over pastoral care. He continued the legacy of faith. Nha Tho Moi Khoi flourished under his leadership.
Today Nha Tho Moi Khoi remains a vibrant center of faith. It serves the community. It stands as a symbol of enduring hope. It’s a place where prayers are whispered and where history lives on. It continues to offer solace and spiritual strength. The legacy of those early families is still felt. Their spirit of faith perseveres in this simple yet significant church.
