In 1954, a journey of faith began. Father Giuse Đoàn Kim Đíện and 600 parishioners arrived in the land of Xã Hố Nai. They established the Nhà thờ Giáo xứ Đại Lộc. This marked the birth of a community centered around their faith. Two years later, the first church arose. It was built with bricks, kéo gỗ, and mái tôn, measuring 12.5m x 30m. Nhà thờ Giáo xứ Đại Lộc became a place of worship and gathering. In 1976, Father Gioan Baotixita Nguyễn Thanh Hải took over. He focused on nurturing the spiritual life of the Đại Lộc community. Along with the parishioners, he spearheaded the construction of a new church. This larger church, built with concrete, iron frames, and mái tôn, measured 12.5m x 40m. It was completed in 1982 to accommodate the growing congregation at Nhà thờ Giáo xứ Đại Lộc. The community continued to thrive under subsequent priests. Nhà thờ Giáo xứ Đại Lộc expanded both physically and spiritually. By 2012, Father Phaolô Nguyễn Nguyễn became the priest. His enthusiastic leadership fostered growth and unity within the church. On November 4, 2022, Nhà thờ Giáo xứ Đại Lộc welcomed its new priest. Father Giuse Vũ Đức Hiệp became an integral part of the community’s ongoing narrative.
