In 1894, two missionaries, Edward L. Sanford and Karl G. Rudolph, arrived in Apam, marking the beginning of Adventism in Ghana. Sadly, Sanford’s health forced his return, but Rudolph persevered, moving to Cape Coast. In 1895, Cape Coast became the headquarters for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in West Africa. The church’s journey wasn’t without its challenges. Early missionaries faced malaria and other hardships. Yet, their dedication laid the foundation for a thriving community of faith. The New Life SDA Church is part of this legacy. It represents the continued growth and expansion of Adventism in Ghana. From those early days in Apam and Cape Coast, the church has blossomed, establishing schools, hospitals, and a university, all while nurturing its spiritual core. Today, the New Life SDA Church serves as a spiritual home for many, offering a place of worship, community, and connection to a rich history of faith.
