In the heart of San Antonio, Texas, stands a testament to faith and community: New Life Ministries of San Antonio. But this isn’t just a story about a building. It’s about a vision, one that a Pastor Vaughn received many years ago, thousands of miles away in Egypt. While on a military mission, God revealed to him a unique calling, a calling that led him to the heart of Texas. Pastor Vaughn, heeding this divine message, brought his family from Germany to San Antonio, and in 1987, New Life Ministries of San Antonio was born, humbly beginning as a bible study in the Vaughn family home. As the congregation grew, they moved to the Kelly Air Force Base Chapel, their faith blossoming with each passing service. Soon, a storefront building at 7428-D SW Military Dr. became their spiritual home. It was here, on February 23, 1992, that New Life Ministries of San Antonio inaugurated its current sanctuary, a beacon of hope in southwest San Antonio. Today, New Life Ministries of San Antonio stands as a testament to the power of faith and community, a shining example of multicultural unity and outreach in South Texas. Their message resonates far beyond their impressive multimillion-dollar facilities visible from Interstate 90 West, demonstrating the impact of a vision received thousands of miles away and nurtured into a thriving community.
