“Transforming lives through compassionately communicating God’s truth.” That is the mission of New Life Ministries. This mission drives every action taken by this ministry. Founded in 1988 by Stephen Arterburn, New Life Ministries began as New Life Treatment Centers.
New Life Ministries offers solutions to those in life’s hardest places. They help those missing what God desires for them. Family, friends, and churches want to help. But they are not always equipped to care for those dealing with problems. Problems like addiction, pornography, infidelity, anxiety, anger, fear, depression, and hurts from the past.
New Life combines biblical truth with psychological knowledge. The ministry believes in applying proven techniques for health. Emotional, physical, and spiritual health is key. This aligns with God’s call to live in wholeness. They are not afraid to share their struggles. Because everyone is on this journey together.
New Life Ministries does not focus on making people feel better temporarily. It focuses on helping people do the hard work. Hard work helps them be better in the long run. That’s what true healing means to New Life Ministries. The ministry takes people out of isolation. Isolation is caused by trauma and sin. They help them find the path to a right relationship with God.
The New Life Live radio program began in early 1995. Stephen Arterburn also founded “Women of Faith” conferences in 1996. Between 1991 and 1999, New Life acquired several programs. These included the Fred Gross Christian Therapy Program and others. All have since been sold or closed. The New Life Counselor Network was formed in 2000. New Life continues to develop programs. These programs meet the changing needs of callers and listeners.
Today New Life Ministries is nationally recognized. It is a faith-based broadcasting and counseling non-profit. They provide ministry through radio and TV. Also through their counseling network and workshops. They offer support groups and numerous resources. All New Life resources are based on God’s truth. They help those who are hurting to find connections. These connections help experience life-transformation.
The New Life Live radio program is still the centerpiece. It is broadcast on many Christian radio stations. It can also be viewed on NRB TV and the New Life YouTube channel. You can find it as a podcast and on the New Life App. The program is available on the newlife.com website.
