New Covenant Fellowship Church’s story began in 1996 as New Covenant Baptist Church. Reverend Larry T. Williams a visionary leader founded it. A small group shared his vision. They laid a strong biblical foundation. This foundation ensured the church’s growth.
For over two decades New Covenant Fellowship Church thrived. Bishop Larry Williams and his team built a committed community. They emphasized spiritual equipping. The church empowered and educated its members. They helped them develop spiritually. They preached the word of God.
The church emphasized Christ’s love. They showed it through prayer and evangelism. Street ministry and discipleship classes played a big part. It was a place where people helped each other. Many saw God’s work unfold before them.
But in August 2017 disaster struck. Hurricane Harvey devastated the Kashmere Gardens neighborhood. This is where New Covenant Fellowship Church was located. The area flooded quickly because of Huntington Bayou. 79 percent of homes flooded. The church took on 14 inches of water. It caused major damage.
The location was prone to flooding again. Church leaders faced tough decisions. They prayed for guidance. They felt God leading them to relocate north. The church bought property. They erected a modular building for temporary use. They began planning a new worship facility.
Today New Covenant Fellowship Church continues to welcome all. It embraces every age background and experience. It offers love kindness acceptance and truth. It encourages connection and involvement.
New Covenant Fellowship Church is a unified body of believers. They express love across all lines. They worship pray and learn together. They encourage each other. The community holds each other accountable. They use their resources to fulfill the Great Commission. They help lost people become devoted followers of Christ.
