The Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium, better known as The Wolff, has been a fixture in San Antonio since its grand opening in April 1994. Originally called San Antonio Municipal Stadium, it was renamed in 1995 to honor Nelson Wolff, the city’s mayor who championed its construction. The Wolff is more than just a ballpark. It’s a testament to the city’s love for baseball and a symbol of community pride. This beloved stadium has seen its share of thrilling games and memorable moments. The dimensions of the field are a delight for both players and fans: 310 feet to left field, 402 feet to center field, and a tempting 340 feet to right field, promising a good number of home runs. Beyond the games, The Wolff has hosted other notable events. In 1997, it was the site of the Double-A All-Star game. And in a testament to its versatility, the parking lot was even transformed into a vibrant concert venue for the Mala Luna Music Festival in 2018. The Nelson W.
