Among them are the people of Alikarnassos. Driven from their ancestral homes. They carry their memories and traditions. They carry their dreams of rebuilding their lives. They found a new home. Nea Alikarnassos grows. The population steadily increases. By 1940 there are 2127 residents. In 1951 the number grows to 2912. By 1961 it is 5132. In 2001 the population reaches 12542. It is a testament to their strength and resilience. Their determination to build a new life.
