It started with a generous act by Konkani Muslim businessman Nakhuda Mohammed Ali Roghe. He purchased two parcels of land in 1829 and 1832, dedicating this expansive space as the final resting place for the community. Today, the Muslim Qabrastan Trust is a tapestry of lives lived. Within its serene embrace lie the iconic actress Madhubala, forever captivating hearts with her beauty. It is also the final resting place of Nargis, whose on-screen brilliance continues to inspire. Even the notorious figure of Haji Mastan, the once-dreaded mafia leader, found his final peace within these grounds.
