The Museum of Design Atlanta, or MODA as it’s fondly known, is a vibrant hub of creativity. It’s located right in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, on Peachtree Street, across from the High Museum of Art. Imagine a place that celebrates all things design, from architecture to fashion to product design. That’s MODA. It’s a place where you can explore how design shapes our lives, and how it inspires new ideas and possibilities. MODA started in 1989 as the Atlanta International Museum of Art & Design. The museum has grown and evolved over the years to become a leading design institution. In 2011, MODA moved to its current location, which is a renovated building that reflects its commitment to design and sustainability. The museum features rotating exhibitions that showcase the work of designers from around the world. You can even view a quarter-century of international AIDS posters, or a retrospective of the history of bathroom design. They also host events and workshops throughout the year, which aim to spark conversations about the role of design in our society. Beyond exhibitions, MODA also offers educational programs for all age groups. They provide classes, workshops, and summer camps for kids and adults. So, come on, step into a world where creativity meets innovation – step into the Museum of Design Atlanta.
