The name Muk-dong is written with Korean characters. In Hangul, it is written as 묵동. In Hanja, it is 墨洞. The revised Romanization is Muk-dong.
Let’s talk about education in Muk-dong. Seoul Wonmuk Elementary School calls Muk-dong home. It opened its doors on November 10, 1995. The first graduation ceremony happened on March 1, 1996. The school has a motto. “Be wise, Be truthful, Be healthy.” It also has symbols, a pine tree and an azalea.

In 1999, there were 40. Jeong-jae-seong became the second principal in 2000. Gang-sun-yeol was appointed the third principal in 2003. Gang-dae-hui became the fourth principal in 2005. Gim-myeong-uk was appointed the fifth principal in 2007. Gim-hyeon-muk was appointed the sixth principal in 2010.
