Mount Sinai Missionary Pentecostal Church of Christ has a rich history, tracing back to a humble beginning in 1899. A small group of believers, led by Rev. Jim McCarty, first gathered in the home of Brother and Sister Allen Nelson. Driven by their shared faith, this small group became the foundation of what we now know as Mount Sinai Missionary Pentecostal Church of Christ. Since that humble beginning, the church has seen significant growth and several relocations, each move symbolizing a step forward in its journey of faith. From a harbor on West 8th and Waverly Streets to a tract of land near the railroad tracks on Nicholson, each location housed the dreams and aspirations of its devoted members. The church has thrived under the leadership of several pastors, each contributing to its spiritual growth and community impact.
