Founded in October 1925 Mount Royal United Church stands as a testament to faith and community. It wasn’t always here on Graham Boulevard. The congregation initially worshipped on Laird Boulevard. They moved to their current location in December 1951. Growth spurred an extension in 1960.

Mount Royal United Church isn’t just a building. It’s a vibrant hub. It’s a place where diverse people from all walks of life gather. They come together in shared faith. This isn’t just a place of worship. It’s a place of community.

Over the years Mount Royal United Church has expanded through mergers. In 1990 the Fairmount-St Giles United Church in Outremont joined forces. St Andrews-Norwood followed suit in 2007. Rosedale Queen Mary United Church completed the merger in 2010. This created the congregation we see today.

The church boasts stunning stained-glass windows. These are memorials to loved ones. They also have a renowned collection of handcrafted banners. The sanctuary has exceptional acoustics. This makes it a popular venue for musical performances. From symphony orchestra concerts to intimate jazz vespers the space truly resonates. A Casavant organ and grand piano enhance worship services.

More than just a building with a rich history Mount Royal United Church is a living community. It’s a place of welcome. It’s a place where people find solace support and a sense of belonging. It’s a place where faith inspires hope. It’s a place that continues to grow and evolve. A place where the community feels the love and acceptance of God.
