Founded in 1937 by Yehuda Leib Maimon, Mossad HaRav Kook stands as a testament to the legacy of Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook. He was a prominent figure in the Jewish world, known for his role as the first Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of British Mandatory Palestine. The institution’s very name reflects this connection, directly translating to “Rabbi Kook Institute.” The impact of Mossad HaRav Kook extends far beyond its physical presence in Jerusalem.
