Omar Al Kazabri’s voice echoed in the grand Hassan II Mosque. But our story doesn’t begin there. It starts at Mosquée Omar El Qzabri. This mosque, though less famous than its grand counterpart, holds a special connection to the renowned imam. Born in Marrakech in 1974, Omar Al Kazabri memorized the Quran at the tender age of eleven with his father’s guidance. He then embarked on a journey of knowledge, seeking deeper understanding of Islamic sciences. His path led him to Saudi Arabia, where he studied at the Islamic Institute of Makkah in 1997 while also leading prayers at Jeddah’s University mosque. Later, his pursuit of knowledge took him to Egypt, where he collaborated with Sheikh Ahmed Al Maassarwi on a project titled “The Ten Recitations Achievement.” Upon returning to Morocco, Omar Al Kazabri’s reputation blossomed at Oulfa’s mosque in Casablanca. His captivating recitations of the Holy Quran drew crowds, earning him recognition and admiration. His voice, rich with devotion and understanding, resonated within the walls of Mosquée Omar El Qzabri. This mosque, a testament to faith and community, served as a stepping stone to his later appointment at the magnificent Hassan II Mosque. Though he achieved widespread fame, his journey began in smaller mosques like Mosquée Omar El Qzabri.
