A sculptural outdoor classroom. It’s located at a school in Dublin. The tree itself represents the school’s family. A song called ‘Croí na Scoile’ inspired it. The heart of the school. That’s what it means. The students participated. They painted the leaves. Past pupils too. Staff members even. Board members and PTA members contributed as well. Seventy more tiles form the border. They spell out a message. “All different all equal”. It’s in English and Irish. “Gach duine atá difriúil ach freisin cothrom”. It’s a powerful statement. The mosaic isn’t just a picture. It’s a testament to community. To collaboration. To shared effort. The creator spent many hours on the stonework. More than anyone realizes. But now it’s finished. It’s a lasting piece of art.
