Morales also launched KLVL-AM. It was one of the first Hispanic radio stations. Known as “La Voz Latina,” it broadcast news and music. Radionovelas were wildly popular. Morales was a founding member of LULAC. He was also a board member of Union y Progreso Barrio Development. A Pasadena elementary school was named in his honor.
