It’s a testament to Hollis’s fascination with the elements, particularly water and mist. Eighty nozzles work in perfect harmony, transforming simple water into a captivating mist cloud that fills the sculpture’s stainless steel bowl. And as if that wasn’t enchanting enough, a circular pan at the base creates a delicate rain curtain that encircles the entire structure. But the Mist Tree is also quite clever. The water is constantly recirculated and filtered, ensuring a sustainable and mesmerizing display. And don’t worry about getting caught in a sudden downpour, a built-in system automatically shuts off the water if the wind picks up, keeping the mist contained and the magic alive.
