In 1998, Pastors Miguel and Maria Paula Arrazola began their ministry in a humble space that held only 35 people. Today, Ministerio Rios de Vida has blossomed into a community of over 15,000 members. The little green house couldn’t contain such explosive growth. Ministerio Rios de Vida isn’t just a church. It is a movement dedicated to building families that love and serve God. This dedication extends to all generations. Children, youth, adults, and elders alike gather at Ministerio Rios de Vida, drawn by a shared passion for God. The Arrazola’s vision is to establish families on the firm foundation of God’s word. They believe that every family holds a treasure within. They strive to nurture that treasure, helping families reach their full potential. Ministerio Rios de Vida emphasizes discipleship through the word of God. Its influence extends beyond Cartagena, impacting families and even nations. The Arrazola’s journey began with their own studies. After completing university and biblical training at CEBCO, they married. They traveled to the United States to study at Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They furthered their theological education at Haggai Institute in Singapore and CIEM in Guatemala. Ministerio Rios de Vida is more than just a Sunday service. It’s a network of over 900 “Casas de Vida” spread throughout the city. These small groups provide weekly prayer and support. The ministry’s impact on Cartagena is undeniable. Their commitment to serving the community shines through various social initiatives. The “20 Social” event held each July exemplifies their dedication. They bring health brigades, food, and community improvements to Cartagena’s most vulnerable neighborhoods.
