Twenty-four stones mark the Island’s parishes and towns. This is the Millennium Stone, Bride. It stands as a modern interpretation of the Celtic cross. Steve Prescott designed these stones to celebrate the millennium.

Each stone rests on a plinth. Trees or landscape features often accompany them. The Department of Local Government and the Environment funded this project. It marked the year 2000.

These stones are cut from black Pooil Vaaish limestone. All seventeen parishes have one. Seven towns also received one.
