Melvindale High School is the “Little Brother”. Allen Park is a bigger school in a bigger city. Allen Park neighbors Melvindale.

Several notable people attended Melvindale High School. Al Cicotte played Major League Baseball. He played for several teams including the New York Yankees. William D Ford was a US Representative from Michigan. Mickey Goodwin a professional boxer, is also an alumnus. He graduated in 1976.
