Meitang Station

Slipping beneath the bustling streets of Shenzhen, Meitang Station hums with a life of its own. But did you know its original name was Huangjiang Zhongxin Station? This subterranean world, opened in 2025, is more than just a stop on Line 9. Meitang Station is a portal, a connector between the past and present of this dynamic city. Imagine yourself back in 2016. A different station, Meijing Station, also part of Line 9, opens its doors. This earlier station, while not our Meitang, whispers hints of the future growth and interconnectedness of Shenzhen’s metro system. Now, fast forward to present day at Meitang Station. Descend to the B2F level and find yourself amidst the flow of commuters. Platform 1 whisks passengers towards Qianwan, the next stop being Jingtian. Across the island platform, Platform 2 carries travelers towards Wenjin, with Xiameilin as the subsequent station. Meitang Station, though underground, isn’t isolated. Multiple exits spill out into the vibrant city above. Exit A1 leads north onto Beihuan Boulevard and west onto Meilin Road, offering access to Lvjing Hongwan. A2 guides you south onto Beihuan Boulevard, towards Jingtian Road and prominent landmarks like the Shenzhen Fuel Building. Exits C and D offer further connections to Meilin Road, Xiameilin 1st Street, and the bustling Futian Farm Products Wholesale Market.
