Sylvester, a visionary seeking a new beginning, arrived in this untamed wilderness in 1905. Imagine vast stretches of land, untouched and ripe with possibility. This is where Sylvester decided to lay down roots, to cultivate a future for himself and for a community yet to be born. This is how Medley began, a town that rose from the dreams of a farmer. When Medley was officially incorporated in 1949, it was a tribute to Sylvester’s legacy. Sadly, Sylvester passed away a year earlier, never witnessing the full blossoming of his vision. Today, Medley stands as a testament to his pioneering spirit. While Sylvester envisioned a farming community, Medley evolved into a hub of industrial development. The landscape may be different from his initial dream, but the spirit of hard work and community he embodied still resonates here.
