The beloved purple dinosaur was refurbished. Denver Parks & Recreation partnered with the Denver Department of Transportation & Infrastructure. They added a water quality feature and a sidewalk along Yale Avenue. Turf conversions and irrigation system upgrades conserve water. They provide perennial beds for pollinators and native grasses along the gulch.
The equipment at McWilliams Park is designed for ages 2 to 12. Toddlers will adore the dinosaur, sandbox, and swings. The large play structure may pose a challenge for taller kids because of small openings.
