From delivering Easter baskets to seniors and Christmas toys to children, to providing food for those in need, MCC in the Valley lives its faith through compassionate action. They have even helped an AIDS hospice in Tijuana install solar panels. MCC in the Valley also holds a deep reverence for the Earth. They consider the Earth a member of their church. They actively strive to reduce their carbon footprint. This earned them a Green Oscar for Advocacy for Earthcare in 2011. MCC in the Valley believes that all life is sacred. At MCC in the Valley, the Bible is taken seriously, but not literally. They believe Jesus spoke in metaphors, parables, and stories to convey a message of boundless love. Their vision is to practice God’s radically inclusive love. They aim to be a house of prayer for all people, welcoming immigrants and championing social and environmental justice.
