Bayındır Dam, spanning 2,400 square meters, held the still, blue water, reflecting the sky above. Then, a transformation began. Extensive work sculpted the landscape, creating the recreational haven we see today. Now, families gather under the shade of giant trees that dot the 245-acre picnic area. The dam, now the heart of the park, holds 6 million cubic meters of water, its distinctive bluish hue giving the lake its evocative name. The park boasts impressive facilities: ready-made tables, gazebos, barbecue areas, and even security huts and restrooms. Beyond the practical, Mavi Göl Recreational Area offers a sensory feast. The vast green expanse, dotted with 35,010 seasonal trees and over 1,000 bushes, creates a tapestry of colors and textures. The shimmering blue water invites a moment of quiet contemplation.
