This beautiful mosque, inaugurated in May 2017, was completely funded by an anonymous donor as an endowment to the community. The Masjid Pehin Khatib Abdullah serves the Muslim residents of Kulapis. It offers a place for communal prayers and activities. This includes the most important prayer of the week, the Jumu’ah, or Friday prayer. Imagine the mosque, brimming with life as hundreds gather. The Masjid Pehin Khatib Abdullah can accommodate a remarkable 700 worshippers within its peaceful sanctuary. Construction began in September 2015, the project a swift endeavor completed in under two years. The grand opening was graced by the presence of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah himself. He participated in the very first Jumu’ah prayer held within the newly finished mosque, a testament to the building’s significance. The Masjid Pehin Khatib Abdullah stands as a beacon of faith and generosity, a testament to the community it serves.
