This very mosque housed the At-Taubah TPA a religious preschool from 2003 until 2008. Imagine the tiny voices learning the Quran within these walls. The building expanded to become SDIT At-Taubah a primary school in 2008. The school eventually outgrew its space leading to the demolition of the original building in 2021. The demolition was part of a larger plan to construct a new three-story school building. The mosque however remains. It is a constant. A silent observer of the community’s evolution.
The original At-Taubah TPA was located within the mosque’s grounds. This humble beginning speaks to the community’s dedication to faith and education. The mosque itself dates back to at least 2002 based on records from SDIT At-Taubah. It is more than just a building. It is a living testament to the growth and enduring spirit of the community.
The founders of SDIT At-Taubah had a vision for religious education. Their vision took shape here at Masjid At-Taubah. The land itself a gift of 10038 square meters played a crucial part in the development of the school. This foundation laid the groundwork for generations of students to receive a religious education. A legacy that continues to this day.
