Imagine a surge of devotion. It echoes through Taman Seri Gombak. This brings us to Masjid Al-Khairiyah. It is more than just a building. It is a vibrant center for the community.

Masjid Al-Khairiyah stands as the second mosque in Taman Seri Gombak. Its construction became necessary. This was because of the rapid increase of Muslims in the area. The mosque’s story began on December 11, 2001. It officially opened on July 9, 2004. Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Al-Haj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj of Selangor officiated the opening.

The architecture blends Malay concepts with Islamic features. Originally, the mosque could accommodate 4,000 worshippers. However, lecture rooms, seminar spaces and offices were added. This slightly reduced the prayer room’s capacity. It now accommodates approximately 4,500 worshippers. Masjid Al-Khairiyah covers 1.4 acres.

Masjid Al-Khairiyah is not just a place of worship. It is an institution. It strengthens bonds among the congregation. It serves as a platform for uniting the community around Taman Seri Gombak. Regardless of political views, age, or background, it welcomes everyone. The mosque provides a space. It gathers people from all walks of life. This is done through various programs and activities.

The mosque focuses on building the local community. It encourages devotion to Allah SWT. It offers daily activities and studies for Muslims. These efforts strengthen relationships. They spark unity within the Muslim community. Masjid Al-Khairiyah strives to empower legacy. It aims to grow with the times.

The mosque extends its reach. It includes outreach to the diverse residents around it. Masjid Al-Khairiyah serves as a platform. It shares the message of Islam. It hopes to inspire non-Muslims. The mosque wants them to consider Islam as a way of life.

Masjid Al-Khairiyah has received several awards. It was the best mosque of Gombak District for 2010 and 2011. In 2014, it was recognized as one of the 20 best mosques in Selangor. It was awarded the title of Best Mosque in 2015. These accolades have elevated Masjid Al-Khairiyah. It stands alongside other prominent mosques.

So here stands Masjid Al-Khairiyah. It is more than bricks and mortar. It is a beacon of unity. It is a center of learning. It is a testament to community spirit. It will continue to serve and inspire for years to come.
