Originally its roots trace back to the old Angulia Mosque. This mosque stood in Angulia Park where Wheelock Place now stands. The present Masjid Al Falah Seraya opened its doors on January 25 1987. Dr Ahmad Mattar the then Minister for Environment and Minister-In-charge of Muslim Affairs officially opened it.
Over the years Masjid Al Falah Seraya has undergone significant transformations. In 2008 it had its first facelift. The renovations improved the layout of classrooms and other facilities. A focus on teaching Islamic knowledge in English followed. This decision received a positive response from the community.
The most dramatic change came in 2015. The mosque was chosen for the Mosque Upgrading Programme. This led to a major renovation. Building owners generously provided more space. The mosque expanded with an extension on the first floor. The second floor doubled in size. This upgrade increased the floor space by over 500 square meters. The expanded prayer space improved washrooms and ablution areas. The mosque also became fully accessible for people with disabilities.
