How did one scholar’s pursuit of knowledge shape a nation? Here, at Masjid Abdel Rahman al Saadi, we find ourselves connected to the legacy of Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Nasser Al-Saadi. He was also known as al-Sa’di.

Masjid Abdel Rahman al Saadi stands as a testament to his enduring influence. Al-Sa’di was born in Unayzah in 1889. His early life was marked by the loss of his parents. Despite these hardships, he memorized the Quran by age eleven.

He pursued religious education and became a respected scholar. Al-Sa’di taught and authored over 40 books. These books covered diverse fields like tafsir and fiqh. His tafsir, Taysir al-Kareem al-Rahman, is highly regarded by Salafi scholars.

Masjid Abdel Rahman al Saadi serves as a reminder of Al-Sa’di’s students. Many of his students became imams and judges. Sheikh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen was among his most famous students. Al-Sa’di appointed him to succeed him as teacher and khateeb.

Al-Sa’di’s influence extended beyond al-Qassim. He received letters seeking fatwas from across the Arabian Peninsula. His fatawa were compiled and published posthumously.
