In 2013, Margaride, Várzea, Lagares, Varziela e Moure embarked on a new chapter. This administrative union, officially known as União das Freguesias de Margaride (Santa Eulália), Várzea, Lagares, Varziela e Moure, resulted from merging five distinct freguesias.
