Pastor Draper a native Houstonian with a booming baritone voice initially pursued a career in education. However God’s call led him to ministry. He earned a graduate diploma and a doctorate. He then moved his family to San Antonio. There he founded Maranatha Bible Church. For over three decades he’s served as senior pastor spreading the gospel through his radio ministry.
He wasn’t alone in this journey. His wife Darlene a San Antonian has been by his side for over 41 years. Together they built Maranatha. They’ve traveled the world sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. Darlene’s expertise in family life education complements her husband’s work. She’s a vital part of Maranatha’s ministries. She leads the Missions Ministry and Women’s Ministry. She firmly believes in the four pillars of the church: The Word of God prayer missions evangelism and worship fellowship.
