Manchester Communication Academy wasn’t always here. Built in 2009-2010 by Laing O’Rourke it’s a modern building. It’s strategically located near Monsall Metrolink station. This makes it easily accessible for students.
The Academy boasts six departments. These cover everything from Maths and English to Creative Arts. Health and Wellbeing and Global Understanding are also important. Subjects like ICT and modern foreign languages are taught. The curriculum reflects the school’s unique focus. This is on communication.
The school’s lead sponsor is BT. Manchester City Council and The Manchester College are co-sponsors. Principal Susan Watmough leads the team. She guides the students. She fosters a collaborative environment.
