Behold the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre MITEC. It stands as Malaysia’s largest trade and exhibition centre. This is not just a building. It is a vibrant hub of commerce and culture.

MITEC is located in Segambut Kuala Lumpur. It is next to MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre and Menara MITI. Inaugurated on August 8 2017 MITEC represents a significant landmark.

The Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre spans a gross floor area of 143191 square meters. This extends over 13.3 acres of land. The building’s architecture draws inspiration from a rubber seed. Also it reflects the Songket a traditional Malay fabric. This design embodies Malaysia’s rich heritage and forward-thinking vision.

Inside MITEC you will find the largest pillar-less exhibition hall in Malaysia. The ceilings reach as high as 36 meters. This makes it suitable for mega-exhibitions and even indoor sporting events. MITEC can host over 100000 visitors. It can accommodate conventions of 20000 people. For banquets it can seat 28300 guests.

MITEC features 11 exhibition halls. There are also 10 meeting rooms. You’ll find 10 break rooms and 3 media centers. For refreshments there are 2 cafes. A grand ballroom adds to the venue’s versatility.

MITEC also provides practical amenities. These include a lounge and suites plus an outdoor plaza. There are 1400 parking bays available. Accessibility is enhanced with 24-hour service ramp access to all floors. Designated loading bays on each level prevent congestion. The centrally located escalators are among Malaysia’s tallest. These feature energy-saving motion sensors.

MITEC played a crucial role in the 29th SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur 2017. It has hosted events like the Malaysia International Furniture Fair and Metaltech. ASEAN Super 8 the Global Drone Conference and the TCE Baby Expo have also been held here. Even Mercedes-Benz’s Urban Hunting Festival 2018 took place at MITEC. During the COVID-19 pandemic MITEC served as a vaccination center. More recently it hosted the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup 2022. The Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show KLIMS and the Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference have also been key events.

MITEC is owned by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation MATRADE. It is managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd. It stands as the flagship of the KL Metropolis development project. The total gross development value is approximately RM20 billion.

As you leave MITEC consider its role in Malaysia’s future. Its design reflects growth. Its facilities promote trade and innovation. MITEC is more than a venue. It is a symbol of Malaysia’s economic ambition and cultural pride.
