Magnolia, Texas, although considered a village, boasts a population of over two thousand residents. Established in 1890, Magnolia earned its name from the 3,750 magnolia trees planted by the developers. Imagine strolling down those streets, the sweet scent of magnolias filling the air! Originally, Magnolia was a much larger area encompassing 1,374 acres. It even became an incorporated municipality in 1909. However, in 1926, Magnolia became part of Houston. But don’t let that fool you, Magnolia retains its unique charm and village atmosphere, a testament to its rich history and the enduring spirit of its residents.
