He implemented groundbreaking changes, including fixed class schedules, teacher-training programmes and the establishment of numerous higher education institutions. His commitment to education extended beyond Thailand’s borders, as he played a crucial role in founding the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO).
M.L Pin Malakul was more than just an educator; he was a passionate writer, poet and playwright. His work earned him the title of National Artist in 1987, recognizing his diverse contributions to Thai literature.
