“Remember the visit of the King and Queen of Prussia.” That’s the essence of Luisenpark. This park offers grand old trees and a unique location. It sits between the Bergstrom and Walkstrom branches of the River Gera.
Luisenpark was created around the turn of the 20th century. It was named to honor Queen Luise’s visit to Erfurt. The triple spring is another interesting feature in the upstream area. Every year, the starting shot for the duck race is fired here.
Feel free to explore Luisenpark. The park is accessible via Alfred-Hess-Strasse where parking is available. Note that Luisenpark has no steps.
As you wander the park, notice the old trees. They have stood here for generations. The River Gera gently flows around the park. The sound of the water makes the experience calm.
