Today, Loyola College boasts over 10,000 students, numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and a thriving research program.

Father Bertram, the visionary behind Loyola College, purchased 50 acres of land for the college in 1924. Despite being described as “unattractive” at the time, he saw the potential. This land would become the home of countless dreams and aspirations. The college’s motto, “Luceat Lux Vestra” which means “Let Your Light Shine”, embodies its commitment to nurturing bright minds.

The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research honored Loyola College as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation. This is a prestigious research accolade for an Arts and Science College. The University Grants Commission recognized its potential for excellence and awarded it substantial grants. This enabled the college to continually upgrade its facilities and expand its offerings.
