Can you imagine 20,000 cheering fans? Their roar echoes through the stands of Long An Stadium. This is the home of Long An FC, the “War Buffaloes.” Long An Stadium, officially known as Sân vận động Long An, opened its doors in 2000. The stadium is more than just a sporting venue. It’s a symbol of Long An’s passion for football. Long An FC, formerly known as Đồng Tâm Long An, has a rich history. The club itself was founded in 2000. It resulted from a merger of two teams. These were Team Long An and the Đồng Tâm Tiles young team. Đồng Tâm, a tile company, invested heavily in sports activities for its staff, particularly football. This investment paid off. Long An FC became a dominant force in Vietnamese football. They even earned a spot in the AFC Champions League twice, in 2006 and 2007. The team’s colors, red and black, symbolize their fiery spirit and determination. Long An Stadium has witnessed incredible victories and heartbreaking defeats. It’s seen the rise of local heroes and the roar of the crowd. The stadium has a seating capacity of almost 20,000. So imagine the energy when it’s filled to the brim. Today, Long An FC competes in the V.League 2. They continue to fight for glory, driven by the unwavering support of their fans within the walls of Long An Stadium.
