The Lokschuppen Aumühle primarily features vehicles. These vehicles represent state and main railways. They were significant for the Hamburg metropolitan area. Some desirable items are no longer available. Some are in poor condition. Open-air storage poses challenges. It hinders long-term preservation.
Usually, a staff member is available on Sundays. This staff member offers rides on the lever-operated draisine. It is an unforgettable driving experience and sporting activity in one. They also offer publications. They gladly answer your questions. Short trips with a hand-pushed light railway wagon are often possible. It is a special experience for children. Light railway trains also run on some days. These offers depend on available volunteers. They cannot be guaranteed.

Action days happen four times a year. They feature an expanded program compared to normal Sundays. There is an antiquarian bookshop and publication sale. There are train services on the light railway. Demonstrations occur in the teaching signal box. You can operate a model tram yourself. Use the original driving switch. Watch the driver’s cab on television. The cozy buffet car invites you to enjoy snacks and drinks. For an entrance fee of only 3 euros, children pay 1 euro. You will receive a historical ticket.
