Established in 2003 the Lycee Libanais Francophone Prive LLFP initially served the Lebanese Francophone community in Dubai. It was a testament to the dedication of 37 Lebanese citizens who raised AED 10 million to create this school. Imagine their vision. They wanted a school that fostered a secular education rooted in respect for diversity. They succeeded. Today LLFP stands as a symbol of that vision.
The original LLFP school was located in Muhaisnah. But growth demanded more space. A new campus was needed. The solution arrived in 2021. The new LLFP Meydan campus opened its doors. This state-of-the-art facility boasted a capacity of 1900 students. That’s almost 50 percent more than its predecessor. This incredible growth is a testament to the need for French education in Dubai and beyond.
The Meydan campus quickly became a vibrant hub. Initially offering pre-KG to Grade 5 it expanded to include all grades up to Terminale. By 2024-25 over 1300 students from 26 nationalities attended LLFP Meydan. The school’s success is undeniable. It’s a testament to its dedicated teachers and the quality of education offered.
What makes LLFP so unique? Its commitment to a multicultural environment is paramount. While Lebanese students form the largest group more than half have a second passport. French Canadian and American nationalities are common. This reflects Dubai’s diverse population. The teaching staff mirrors this diversity. Lebanese and French citizens are equally represented.
Academic excellence is a cornerstone of LLFP. Students are prepared for the French National Diploma the Brevet and the French General Baccalaureate. Historically the Muhaisnah campus showcased impressive examination results. Almost all students passed with honors. The new campus continues this legacy. The DSIB inspection report in March 2024 highlighted the positive external results. The school’s commitment to academic excellence continues to inspire confidence.
Beyond academics LLFP fosters holistic development. It offers a stimulating and creative environment. There’s an auditorium for cultural events. A greenhouse provides hands-on learning about ecology. State-of-the-art sports facilities including two indoor gymnasia a football field and a running track are available. The campus also won architectural awards for sustainable design. The entire LLFP Meydan campus is a modern wonder.
The school has undergone another significant transformation. In November 2024 LLFP was acquired by Taaleem. This leading local education provider operates multiple schools. This acquisition signifies a new chapter for LLFP. It will undoubtedly lead to further growth and development.
Stand here before LLFP Meydan. Reflect on its journey. From a small school born from a community’s vision to a thriving international institution. LLFP’s story is one of incredible growth.
