Did you know Living Hope Community Fellowship Church started as an outreach? It began in October 1999. Pastor Joyce C Hall had a vision. She wanted to bring hope to Savannah’s urban communities. This wasn’t just a dream. It was a powerful calling. She’d grown up in Hitch Village a local housing project. She understood the challenges firsthand. The church’s initial meetings were held at the May Street YMCA. For four years they worshipped there. They focused on the surrounding neighborhoods. Their dedication paid off. Living Hope experienced rapid growth. This led them to their current location in Garden City. The church now boasts over 500 members. It even has one of the area’s largest college ministries. In 2020 Living Hope celebrated 20 years of ministry. They held a black-tie gala. Distinguished guests including Rev Dr Raphael G Warnock attended. Dr Ricky Temple also gave an anniversary salute. He’d been instrumental in the church’s early days. Living Hope Community Fellowship continues to thrive. Pastor Hall’s vision of a hands-on biblically sound ministry lives on. It brings hope and transforms lives. It’s a testament to faith perseverance and community. It’s a Savannah landmark you should remember.
